You were laid to rest today Daddy, Burns Night. You loved Robert Burns. You and mum had your -belated- honeymoon in Burns Country that June-as you were married on Hogmanay.
I am looking at the beautiful picture of you and mum standing on Tam's Brig -the Brig o' Doon-and you standing outside Burns' Cottage.

It was snowing that day in 1990. You always loved to be the first one out in the snow and make footprints. Always went for the Sunday papers and brought us all breakfast in bed. The World's Best Dad.

You loved your garden and your roses too so in the words of our national poet.

"My luve's like a red, red rose
That's newly sprung in June
My luve's like the melody
That's sweetly played in tune."

Love Always, Dorothyxx

"Still, through chaos,
Works the ancient plan,
And two things have altered not
Since first the world began
The beauty of the wild green earth
And the bravery of man."

Love always and forever, Dorothyxx You have mum, Douglas, Cathie and all the family with you now and your mother and father Valentine and Dorothy. Until we meet again Daddy, I will keep doing my best.
